A space to gather, a place to grow shows a moment in time, an intention, a gesture of what will come. Like in a garden, winter is a period of time to rest, plan, reflect; although this work is not in dormancy, it brings attention to the materials, and in turn the behind the scenes of inviting, hosting, gathering; space making.
This work is the beginnings of the panels that will eventually accumulate within the community garden of EKKM to build a greenhouse. In this work we pause to exhibit as we are, with little intention of it being a 'finished work' but in showing the workings through and figuring outs. A community garden never really reaches a point of completion and instead is in constant motion, we re-attend to this notion by too showing the circular motion of a making process; some materials repurposed, reused, borrowed, returned to or left here for now.
